On June 5th Year 12 students from schools and colleges across Lincolnshire celebrated their hard work and achievement at the Research Higher Spring Graduation ceremony at the University of Lincoln. Research Higher offers pupils the chance to participate in an 8-week course offering an immersive experience of University life.The experience includes seminars and lectures delivered at the University as well as embarking on independent study to design and complete a research project. The programme offers the chance to experience Higher Education whilst developing research skills. Student research projects are themed around Higher Education, offering a unique chance for students to gather insider research about what enables HE participation within their locations.
Project topics included ‘how gender influences degree choices’ and ‘how student finance affects decisions to go to university’.
